Short, honest answers before you begin.
- Is Mami a medical app?
- No. Mami is a wellness companion that helps you follow your pregnancy and your baby's first year. When a reading is outside the range guidelines use, it tells you gently and suggests letting your midwife or doctor know. It never diagnoses, and it doesn't replace your care.
- Who can see what I note down?
- Only you, until you invite someone. Then you choose what each person sees: development updates, appointments and results, your birth plan, logs and trends, or baby names. Your journal is never shared.
- Can my partner join?
- Yes. Invite them by email. They see what you share, can log things for you, help with checklists, and get guidance written for partners.
- I'm expecting twins. Does it work for me?
- Yes. Tell us how many babies you're expecting, up to four, and you can note diapers, growth and milestones later, for each baby.
- What happens after my baby is born?
- Mami keeps going through your baby's first year: diapers, growth, milestones and vaccinations, with guidance for your recovery too. If your baby arrived early, you also see their corrected age.
- What if my pregnancy ends, or my baby dies?
- We're so sorry. If you tell Mami, it changes quietly: weekly updates and reminders stop, sharing is paused, and everything you've kept stays safe and private. You can start a new journey whenever you choose, or not at all. There are no prompts.
- Can I use it on my phone?
- Yes, it's made for your phone first. Use the Mami app on iPhone or Android, or open it in any browser.
